Hardware Validation

After programming the FPGA, you can test the system:

1. Access the Main tab.

2. Click on Serial Console.

3. Set the correct baud rate (e.g., 115200 baud).

4. On the serial monitor, view the distance values sent by the HC-SR04 via UART.

5. If the data is not received correctly, review the parameters and connections in ChipInventor.

Now, you need to assemble a simple circuit that allows the connection between the distance sensor and the Dev Chip Board. You will need:

• 4.7k ohm resistor;

• Protoboard;

• Wires for connection;

And your project should look like the following circuit:
